Just about all of the first season of high school sports for the newly-formed Elkhart Lions has come to an end, and it was one for the books.

The Lions won sectional titles in football, boys soccer, boys basketball, boys track, and baseball in their inaugural campaigns.

The Elkhart Truth says the only other school in Indiana to achieve that feat was Indianapolis area juggernaut Center Grove.

On the one hand the combination of two schools into one would give you high expectations, but the impressive set of first seasons had very little prep time thanks to COVID-19.
