Indiana and Michigan rank toward the middle of the pack when it comes to the most fun states in the U.S.

At least, according to a recent study on financial website, WalletHub.

The site compared all 50 states across 26 key indicators of “fun activities that won’t break the bank”, ranging from movie costs to accessibility of national parks.

Indiana ranked 38th overall, while Michigan ranked 19th.

Michigan ranked first in “Most Golf Courses and Country Clubs per Capita” and tied for first place in “Most Marines per Capita.”

Indiana ranked low in “Worst Access to National Parks”, coming in at 48th.

The top five “Most Fun States in America” are California, Florida, Nevada, New York and Illinois.

The lowest-ranked state is West Virginia.
