The Red cross says there is a severe shortage depleting the national blood inventory.

An atypical rise in traumas, emergency room visits, overdoses and transplants have seen a 19% increase in blood demand this year compared to 2019.

Donors of all blood types, especially Type-O, are being asked to make an appointment to donate soon to prevent further impact on patient care.

You can schedule an appointment by downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or at http://redcrossblood.org.
