Four men have been arrested after allegedly robbing two cell phone stores in Benton Harbor

Officers with the Benton Charter Township Police Department were called to an AT&T store and a T-Mobile store for reports of armed robberies late Thursday afternoon, June 17.

Police were able to catch up to the suspects’ vehicle because one of the cell phones that was taken had an active tracking device on it, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The suspects were seen throwing items out of their car during a pursuit, according to investigators.

The chase ended when the suspects crashed into another vehicle in a construction area on M-196, at the Kalamazoo River Bridge.

The four suspects were arrested and taken to the Berrien County Jail on preliminary charges of unarmed robbery, safe robbery and concealing stolen property. Three of the men had prior warrants form agencies throughout southwest Michigan, ABC 57 reported.
