A 35-year-old Elkhart woman has been found guilty of murder in connection with the stabbing death of her husband. Jimmie Gilliam, 33, died in July of 2019.

Prosecutors say Knesha Carruthers stabbed Gilliam in the chest after the two got into a fight and she locked him out of the house, as reported by 95.3 MNC’s news partners at The Elkhart Truth.

Gillam later died at an area hospital.

Carruthers sobbed as the verdict was read on Thursday.
