A trailer manufacture has been fined for safety violations related to the use of a table saw in its plywood department.
Stealth Trailers LLC has reached a $5,525 settlement agreement with the Indiana Department of Labor after it was issued four major safety violations.
The Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued the notice of the violations earlier this year after an inspection of the plant on Maple street in Bristol.
According to the Elkhart Truth, the violations cited in the safety order and notification of penalty included:
- Not establishing reasonably safe conditions regarding the rotating blade on a table saw in the plywood department.
- Not providing training on the use of personal protective equipment.
- Not having working safety measures according to the notice.
As part of the agreement, Stealth Trailer will have to work with safety consultants to develop a comprehensive program that looks for deficiencies.
