Elkhart woman arrested after three-car crash in Elkhart County

An Elkhart woman was arrested after a three-car crash on County Road 5 which injured two people.

Gabrielle Parrott, 27, was taken in on a preliminary charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-prior after the crash, Tuesday, June 29, on County Road 5 near County Road 1.

Police say a pick-up truck and a passenger car were traveling northbound when Parrott crossed the center line.

The driver of the truck swerved and hit a wood post.

Parrott then crashed, head-on, into the car.

The driver of the car and Parrott both complained of pain, afterward, and were taken to the hospital.

The man driving the pickup wasn’t hurt.
