Elkhart man in court for rape allegations involving a child

An Elkhart man was due in court, this week, on rape allegations involving a child.

Sheriff’s deputies investigated alleged incidents that happened at a home in Goshen in 2019 involving a girl under 16 years old.

According to court documents, the victim said the suspect, 45-year-old Myron Kemp, had been drinking.

Kemp was arrested in May. He faces charges of rape-by-force-or-threat and sexual misconduct with a minor, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

Kemp was booked in the Elkhart County Jail but has since bonded out.
