An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting of a 10 year-old girl last weekend at Castle Point Apartments.

The St. Joseph County Police report that a 15 year-old juvenile was taken into custody on Wednesday on suspicion of Criminal Recklessness and Pointing a firearm.

A detention hearing was held and a court hearing is planned for July 14. The investigation into the shooting revealed that it took place at an unsupervised gathering of teenagers and children.

The female victim is now listed in good condition at an area hospital.
