Michigan schools are getting a huge infusion of cash.
Governor Whitmer signed a bill Wednesday that authorizes $4.4 billion in federal funds for K-12 schools in the state.
The federal COVID relief funding is a bipartisan House Bill that will help to close the per-pupil funding gap.
The bill passed the State Senate with a unanimous vote last month. It will go toward school reopening plans and the needs of students. It will be distributed along Title 1 allocations.
