Arrest made after man shot in head with BB gun

Police in Elkhart say on July 3, they responded to a report of a shooting with injury at an apartment on Pottawatomi Drive.

The victim suffered cuts to his forehead, cheekbone and lip, and was taken to Elkhart General where they found multiple metal pellets under his skin.

According to the Elkhart Truth, the victim later identified 37-year-old Marco Anderson as the shooter during a photo-lineup.

Anderson was arrested on an unrelated warrant when police discovered two small BB pellets and blood on his shoes and arm.

He currently faces charges of battery.
