Nine arrests made during narcotics investigation on West Beardsley Avenue in Elkhart

Officers from the Elkhart Police Department Patrol Division have been conducting a short-term narcotics investigation in the 400 block of West Beardsley Avenue.

On the evening of Thursday July 8, officers concluded the investigation and obtained a search warrant for 412/414 West Beardsley Avenue.

During a search of the residences officers located paraphernalia, handguns, needles, over 1 gram of methamphetamine, over 1 gram of marijuana, over 26 grams of a synthetic drug.

The following subjects were arrested as a result of the search warrant:

  • Billie Hershberger, 40 Elkhart, was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of methamphetamine
  • Todd Overpeck, 60 Elkhart, was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of methamphetamine
  • James Barnard, 23 Elkhart, was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of methamphetamine
  • Ashley Seabolt, 37 Elkhart, was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of methamphetamine
  • Stephen Ohrazda, 31 Elkhart, was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of methamphetamine
  • McKenzie Mays, 21 Elkhart, visiting a common nuisance
  • Austin Hayslip, 23 of Elkhart, visiting a common nuisance
  • Tristen Grant, 22 Elkhart, visiting a common nuisance
  • Jacob Carter, 27 of Goshen, visiting a common nuisance
