Former mail carrier pleads guilty, trashing mail

A former mail carrier from South Bend has pleaded guilty to obstruction of mail.

Robin Weldy was a postal carrier in 2019 and admitted she knowingly and willfully tossed mail into a garbage dumpster.

According to WNDU, Weldy said she did it because she was behind in her deliveries.

She is scheduled sentencing in late September.
