Over 600,000 Michiganders who received pandemic-related unemployment benefits are being told to update their accounts.

The state recently learned that the eligibility approval process was wrong.

Now the department will determine if the benefits need to be repaid.

Currently Michigan has been paying $300 a week in federal aid on top of the maximum state benefits of $363.

The House Oversight Committee says they will investigate the performance of the Unemployment Insurance Agency.
