The new President of Indiana University is working from home until she recovers from coronavirus.

President Pamela Whitten told students and faculty members Thursday that she tested positive for the virus.

Whitten is fully vaccinated, and said that she’s feeling only minor symptoms.

The announcement comes as IU continues to insist that all students and faculty members get vaccinated before they can return to campus in the fall.

The school says being vaccinated will reduce the chances to spread the virus among students.
