The University of Notre Dame has announced Chris Ackels as the public address announcer for Notre Dame Stadium.

Ackels will serve in this position for all home football games.

He lives in Chicago, and currently also serves as the in-stadium host and emcee for the Chicago White Sox. He has worked with the Bulls and Blackhawks, as well as announcing at events for Northwestern, DePaul, Southern Methodist University and Saint Louis University.
