Police searching for suspects after deadly shooting on Fair Street in Benton Harbor

One person was killed and another injured in a shooting in Benton Harbor.

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, outside of the Quick Way Party Store on Fair Street. One man was rushed to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He died. A second person was shot in the arm, treated and released.

Officers secured video footage of the shooting. The images show a black Chevy sedan, possibly a Malibu, traveling south on Fair Street with three men, described as black and under age 25 shooting from the vehicle toward the store.

The vehicle was last seen traveling west on Thresher Avenue.

There were several witnesses, but nobody was willing to provide statements to police, as of late Saturday night.
