Boy, 15, suffering non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in Niles

Police in Niles are investigating the shooting of a 15 year-old boy.

It happened shortly before 6 pm on Monday, Aug. 9, in the 700 block of Poplar, and appears to have been the result of a long dispute between two groups of people.

The victim was shot in the side and arm and transported by ambulance.

His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
