The heat advisory on Tuesday between severe thunderstorms created what weather experts called “Persian Gulf-level humidity” in our region.
At 3 p.m. Central Time on Tuesday it was hotter and more humid in Chicago than it was in Dallas, Houston, New Orleans or Tampa. Heat Index readings are expected to top 105 degrees or more today, with a Heat Advisory in place again Wednesday between 1 and 8 p.m.
The heat and humidity have officials reminding you to drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and remember to check on relatives and neighbors.
