More food bank drive thru distribution dates added in August

The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has added some new drive-thru food distribution dates in August:

Wednesday, August 18, 2021 – LaPorte County

9 a.m. – 11 a.m. CT

Where: First Church of God, 2020 E. Lincolnway, LaPorte, IN 46350

*This distribution is sponsored by United Way of LaPorte County and will serve 300 households.

Monday, August 23, 2021 – Kosciusko County

9 a.m. – Noon ET

Where: New Life Church, 744 S. 325 East, Warsaw, IN 46582

*This is a bonus USDA frozen food distribution hosted by Combined Community Services.

Tuesday, August 24, 2021 – St. Joseph County Bonus USDA Frozen Food Distribution

1 p.m. – 3 p.m. ET

Where: Food Bank of Northern Indiana, 702 Chapin Street, South Bend, IN 46601

*This is a bonus USDA frozen food distribution hosted by the Community Food Pantry of St. Joseph County.

Wednesday, August 25, 2021 – Starke County

10 a.m. – Noon, CT

Where: Knox United Methodist Church, 201 S. Shield St., Knox, IN 46534

*This is a USDA mobile food distribution and will include both dry goods and frozen food items.

 

Wednesday, August 25, 2021 – Marshall County

10 a.m. – Noon, ET

Where: Culver Trinity Lutheran Church, 430 Academy Road, Culver, IN 46511

*This is a bonus USDA frozen food distribution hosted by Culver Food Pantry.

Thursday, August 26, 2021 – LaPorte County

10 a.m. – Noon CT

Where: Marquette Mall (JC Penney), 201 W. US 20, Michigan City, IN 46360

*This is a bonus UDSA frozen food distribution hosted by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless.

Friday, August 27, 2021 – Elkhart County

9 a.m. – 11 a.m. ET

WHERE: Shepherd’s Cove, 1010 E. Mishawaka Rd., Elkhart, IN 46517

*This is a bonus USDA frozen food distribution hosted by Shepherd’s Cove.

Tuesday, August 31, 2021 – St. Joseph County

1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET

Where: Food Bank of Northern Indiana, 702 Chapin St., South Bend, IN 46601

*This distribution will serve 300 households.

 

Assorted food items are offered free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. First come, first served, while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. One box per household.

 

Distributions are drive-thru. Please remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive items. An area is available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
