Chick-Fil-A fans on South Bend’s northwest side can now mark their calendars for September 9th.

That’s the day the new chicken chain being built on Portage Avenue will open for business.

Work on the restaurant had been scheduled for the middle of last year, but was delayed due to the pandemic.

The new Chick-Fil-A will be in the former Applebee’s location next to the Portage Avenue Walmart.
