Crews respond to suspicious package at Family Dollar store in Goshen

Emergency crews responded to a suspicious package Monday morning at a store in Goshen.

The call came in around 11:15 a.m. for the Family Dollar store on Elkhart Road. Fire and police units responded and well, and the parking lot was blocked off during the investigation.

The Indiana State Police Explosives Disposal unit and the Elkhart Police Department Bomb Squad robot helped determine that there was in fact no threat in connection with the suspicious object, which was found by the store’s front door.
