8-year-old boy missing in South Bend has been found safe

UPDATE: Kyson Shorter was found around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. He is said to be safe, according to South Bend Police.

ORIGINAL STORY: The South Bend Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding an 8-year-old boy who ran away from home.

Kyson Shorter took off from his home in the 2100 block of South Catalpa.

He’s described as having black hair, brown eyes and is about 80 pounds.

He was last seen wearing blue striped underwear, one black sock and one multi-colored sock with the Tasmanian Devil on it.

Anybody with information about Shorter should call the South Bend Police Department at 574-235-9201 or dial 911.
