Deer Forest preparing to be auctioned off

What was once a rite of passage for kids in Southwest Michigan is now a 32-acre property about to go up for auction.

Generations of children fed hundreds of deer and rode the rides at Deer Forest in Coloma, the former amusement park with the jingle that got stuck in your head.

WSBT reports that an effort to bring the park back to life fell short after COVID ended hoped-for opportunities for grants and donations. Deer Forest will be auctioned off in October with viewings for possible investors beginning next week.
