A former volunteer at a church accused of molesting five boys is expected to enter an admission later this year.

46-year-old Scott Christner of Goshen, faces a total of 12 charges after victims said he inappropriately touched them between 2012 and 2019.

The victims, with the youngest being under 12 at the time of the alleged incidents, were under Christner’s care while he was a volunteer leader at their church youth group.

The Elkhart Truth reports that police launched an investigation in 2019 when one of the victims reported claims that the incidents happened when they were alone with Christner or were roughhousing with him.

On Thursday, during a hearing in Elkhart County Superior Court, Christner’s lawyer said they were working on a plea agreement.

The judge has reset the trial for November 22.

I thinking about applying for a job as proofreader.. T-R-A-I-L vs T-R-I-A-L. You see, that’s what’s wrong with spell check! Don’t feel bad. South Bend Tribune isn’t so hot in that respect, either. Sincerely, Al
