Cows killed in overnight fire in Elkhart County

Fire crews from Elkhart County were busy dealing with multiple blazes during the overnight hours of Sunday morning.

Crews were first called around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sep., 18, to the 25000 block of County Road 38 where a barn had caught fire.

Around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, another fire was reported in the 62000 block of County Road 9.

Around 6 a.m. on Sunday, crews were called back to the 25000 block of County Road 38.

There were no injuries to any people, but a few cows perished, according to 95.3  MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

So far, there is no word about what caused the fires.
