Three people hurt in crash on M-60 at Yankee Street in Cass County

Three people were hurt in a crash at M-60 and Yankee Street in Howard Township.

The collision happened around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sep. 18, when Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies say a 72-year-old Niles resident was turning onto Yankee Street and struck an oncoming vehicle.

The Niles woman and her passenger were taken to St. Joe Medical Center.

The 63-year-old man from Lawrence who was driving the vehicle that was struck was transported to Lakeland Niles.

Seatbelts were worn and intoxicating substances are not believed to have been a factor.

Factors into the crash remain under investigation.
