The Mayor of Logansport says the town will rename a street for Corporal Humberto Sanchez.

Cpl. Sanchez Way will go north from Lexington Road to connect with Mike Anderson Way, which comes in off High Street and goes along the east-west row of homes in the subdivision.

Sanchez was one of 13 U.S. service members killed during a suicide bombing near the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, Aug. 26, a bombing in which 60 Afghans also died.

The attack happened during the final days of the United States’ exit from Afghanistan.
