Michigan Police are searching for a suspect after a weekend shooting in Dowagiac.

On Saturday night officers responded to the parking lot near Dowagiac Liquor for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival they found a 33-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. She is in serious condition, but is expected to survive.

Police believe Robert Smith III is the suspect in this shooting.
