Catholic priest resigns amid sexual abuse accusations

A Catholic priest in Fort Wayne has resigned as he’s accused of sexually abusing a minor.

The Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend says they were made aware of the accusations early last week.

They are not giving any specific details about the abuse.

Father David Huneck has served as a pastor in Columbia City and a chaplain at Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger High School.

The diocese saying that once the received word of the accusations they immediately reported the claims to the Department of Child Services.
