Dense Fog Advisory leading to local school delays

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. EDT for the following counties: In Indiana, La Porte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, Fulton and Kosciusko. In Michigan, Berrien County. Visibility is down to one-quarter of a mile or less in some spots in the 95.3 MNC listening area.

The following schools are on a two hour delay:

  • The Crossing in Elkhart
  • Concord
  • Fairfield
  • LaPorte Community
  • Lakeland
  • New Prairie United
  • Prairie Heights
  • St. John Lutheran in LaPorte
  • South Central
  • Tippecanoe Valley
  • Wa-Nee
  • Warsaw
  • West Noble
  • Westview
  • Whitko

The fog is expected to lift by late morning.

Mostly cloudy skies today and warmer. Another round of showers and storms moves through tonight into Thursday morning. The chance of rain continues for Friday and true fall weather arrives behind it over the weekend. Daytime highs fall into 60s with clouds clearing through Saturday.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy. High 74.

Wednesday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Low 65.

Thursday: Rain showers. High 72.

Friday: Rain showers. High 70.
