Michigan unemployment rate dipped slightly last month

Michigan’s unemployment rate was down a bit for the month of September.

The State rate was down slightly in September according to the latest numbers from the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget. The seasonally adjusted jobless rate went down a tenth of a point to 4.6%.

The state’s labor force increased by 12,000 over the month. In the last year the rate for Michigan and the nation have fallen significantly.
