Rash of robberies at 7-Eleven stores in Mishawaka

Mishawaka Police are investigating a second robbery at the 7-Eleven on 12th Street in as many weeks.

The heist happened around 2 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22.

The store clerk told officers she was robbed at gun point by two men she described as black, dressed in dark clothing.

A witness in the area noticed what was going on and started following the suspects as they drove off. Investigators say the witness stopped, believing the suspects had fired a round from a gun. It’s not known whether a round was fired in the air or at the suspect. There were no injuries reported.

Since September, there have been four armed robberies at 7-Eleven stores in Mishawaka:

9/12 at 12:24am – 112 E. Catalpa
10/4 at 3:33 am – 112 E. Catalpa
10/10 at 5:12am – 1329 E. 12th Street
10/22 at 2:01am – 1329 East 12th Street
