It’s a guilty verdict for an Elkhart woman accused of a deadly shooting that dates back to May of 2019.

That’s when jurors decided Iman Gregory, 27, shot and killed Ishmael Porter.

Gregory told the court she was in fear of her life when she opened fire on in front of his Sherman Street home.

She claimed Porter grabbed a gun from his girlfriend. Porter was shot struck by bullets 8 times.

Gregory said Porter remained standing as she continued to fire.

Gregory was charged with murder and arrested several months after the death in Atlanta.

She could be sentenced to as much as 85 years in prison when she’s sentenced in mid-November.
