Chase of a stolen vehicle ends with a deadly crash in Lake County

A chase of a stolen vehicle that began in Michiana ended with a deadly crash and arrests in Lake County.

LaPorte County Sheriff’s officers were pursuing a stolen Infiniti Q-X-60, on I-94 near the 32 mile-marker.

The vehicle got off at 4-21 then got back on 94, heading westbound at a high rate of speed.

The driver, 23-year-old John Kennedy Fitzgerald Bolden from South Holland dodged stop sticks, but struck a Porter County Sheriff’s police car.

The impact caused him to lose control of the Infiniti to lose control smash into the median wall. The vehicle then rolled several times.

Bolden and the front seat passenger were elected. Two people in the backseat suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Bolden, who died, was wanted for multiple serious felonies out of Arkansas and Texas.

The other three were also wanted for crimes in other states and are now in custody.
