A former church volunteer from Goshen accused of molesting five members of a youth group has pleaded guilty.

Scott Christner, 46, was charged with inappropriately touching five boys on multiple occasions between 2012 and 2019.

The investigation began when one of boys he victimized made accusations.

Four others then came forward, describing incidents that occurred when they say they were alone with Christner, or while he was roughhousing with them.

If the deal is accepted, Christner would receive a 20-year prison term when he’s sentenced in early January, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

Christner was a long-time youth leader at the First Baptist Church of Goshen.
