Food Bank of Northern Indiana giving away turkeys for families in need

Just ahead of Thanksgiving, the Food Bank of Northern Indiana is giving away turkeys for people in need. The turkeys are being provided through the generosity of Beacon Health System associates.

Tuesday, November 16, 2021 – St. Joseph County

2 p.m. – 4 p.m. ET

Where: Food Bank of Northern Indiana, 702 Chapin Street, South Bend, IN 46601. This distribution will provide 180 turkeys for 180 households.

 Wednesday, November 17, 2021 – Elkhart County

10 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET

Where: Shepherd’s Cove Food Pantry, 1010 E. Mishawaka Road, Elkhart, IN 4651. This distribution will provide 150 turkeys for 150 households.

Wednesday, November 17, 2021 – Marshall County

1 p.m. – 3 p.m. ET

Where: Bread of Life Food Pantry, 6770 N. Michigan Road, Plymouth, IN 46563. This distribution will provide 150 turkeys for 150 households

Thursday, November 18m, 2021 – LaPorte County

9 a.m. – 11 a.m. CT

Where: Salvation Army Michigan City, 1201 S. Franklin Street, Michigan City, IN 46360. This distribution will provide 150 turkeys to 150 households.

The turkeys are offered free of charge. First come, first served, while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. One turkey per household.

Distributions are drive-thru. Please remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
