No injuries reported from house fire on 8th Street in Elkhart

There were no injuries reported after crews doused a house fire in Elkhart.

The blaze broke out just after 1 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, in the 600 block of S. 8th Street.

The fire was called in by an Elkhart police officer in the area and when crews got there, they found heavy fire and smoke coming from the front of the home.

The fire was under control about two hours later. So far, there is no word on the cause.
