Sen. Young: Endless Frontier Act may have advantages for Hoosiers

The Endless Frontier Act, which is meant to provide money for the United States to keep up with China’s military advancements, may also have some advantages for Hoosiers, says its author, Republican Sen. Todd Young.

“There’s a provision in the Endless Frontier Act that would allow states like Indiana to apply for a tech hub designation,” said Young, when speaking about the bill this week.

He said if Indiana were to compete and were designated perhaps the autonomous vehicle or battery storage capital of the United States, there would be additional investment of federal money.

He said that would “allow our workers to be trained in those fields, allow additional federal investment to flow through our research universities and attract investors to our universities so that they might spin off new small businesses in the state of Indiana.”

Young said this week that he’s concerned that China is trying to block the passage of the bill by sending letters to American business people, urging them to lobby lawmakers to oppose its passge. Young said it has already passed the Senate an must now pass the House to become law.

Young said the bill would help the U.S. keep up with military technologies that China has developed and advanced, like quantum computing and a hypersonic missile that can avoid detection and carry nukes.

Why does the Federal government feel the need to spend tax dollars to create a “tech hub” to subsidize businesses with more tax dollars? How about letting the market place those resources, even if they don’t initially put them all in one location (which is smarter from a strategic point of view)…

RINO Todd Young is just another big government stooge. He wants the government to control the location of tech in the country and the direction of all R&D. There is nothing too small for the government to control in our lives. RINO Todd is sponsoring bills to hand the Federal government more control over local zoning laws, with the intention of eliminating single family zoning and destroying the suburbs. He even called it “Yes In My Backyard”.

RINO Todd has got to GO!
