Downtown South Bend, Inc. encourages the community to celebrate and support the variety of small, locally-owned businesses in downtown South Bend at this year’s Small Business Saturday taking place Nov. 27.

Shoppers can start at the DTSB Small Business Saturday Welcome Center from 10 a.m. – noon at Howard Park next to the Howard Holiday Market to get their own Shop Small bag (for first 50 shoppers) and a list of all the deals taking place downtown for the day.

The Welcome Station will also feature coupons, giveaways, coffee, donuts, and a Shop Small photo booth.

Many downtown businesses will be featuring various promotions throughout the day on Saturday, and a social media contest will also be taking place.

I guess it’s better than Mugging Monday or Thug Tuesday, but I’ll still avoid South Bend all 7 days of the week.
