A SWAT team response in South Bend led to an arrest without incident.

Wednesday, the South Bend PD’s Strategic Focus Unit arrived at a home in the 900 block of East Calvert, the result of an investigation into a person with several felony warrants. The suspect failed to comply with requests to leave the residence, and SWAT was called in.

The suspect, Rahgelin Hardy, exited the home when SWAT arrived and was detained. A search warrant led to discovery of five handguns, three of which were stolen, as well as numerous handgun magazines, loose ammo, and drugs. Hardy was arrested on several charges, as well as the outstanding warrants.
