Juvenile arrested, suspected of stabbing 11-year-old boy

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested, suspected of stabbing an 11-year-old boy.

The victim told police he was playing basketball in the 100 block of North 6th Street when a boy he knew walked up to him, pulled a knife and stabbed him.

The boy was treated at the scene and transported to Elkhart General Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

The Elkhart Truth reports the teen was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery with a deadly weapon and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

Starting them young. I sire hope this young man figures out that hurting some one isn’t the best way to handle this situation. But he now has some ” street cred”.
