It took a jury just one hour to find a Berrien County woman guilty of solicitation of murder.

The verdict against Alana Gonzalez, 59, was read on Friday.

Gonzalez was found guilty of hiring a hit an to kill her ex-husband’s girlfriend.

Gonzalez said she only wanted to scare the girlfriend.

The intended target and Gonzalez’s ex-husband are now married, according to our partners in news at ABC-57.

Gonzalez will be sentenced in mid-January.
