$3 billion in insurance refunds are headed to drivers in Michigan.
Governor Whitmer’s office announced Tuesday that refunds of $400 per vehicle will be processed by the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association.
ABC 57 reports that drivers can expect the checks in the second quarter of next year thanks to a refund plan that came after the governor’s call to return the surplus to Michiganders. The plan returns the money to every Michigan resident with an auto insurance policy that was in force as of October 31, 2021, with no action needed on their part to receive the funds.

Letting the government run your insurance seems almost as bad as letting them run your liquor stores.
