Two of the best high school football players in the country have committed to Notre Dame, and they won’t have to travel far to get here.
Linebacker Drayk Bowen is the Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year. Linebacker Joshua Burnham has that honor for Michigan. Both say they’re headed to South Bend to play for Coach Freeman.
ND insider says Bowen led his teammates at Merrillville Andrean to a state title last month, where he also features as a running back.
Burnham, who also plays quarterback at Traverse City Central, is one of only seven juniors to win the Gatorade distinction this year. He’s also a finalist for the high school Butkus Award, which is given to the top linebacker in the country.

The 55th national ranked player (Blake Fisher, OT) is from Avon IN amd committed to ND also. The 2 LBs in this article are not ranked in nations top 60 players! Give credit where its due!
There are 6 others going to ND in the top 300 nationwide. These 2 LBs arent in top 300. Ohio State and Bama are getting many top players. Go figure
