Coloma Schools will have a student assembly on Friday where the Berrien County Prosecutor will warn students about the dangers of school threats and how they could be charged if they’re caught making a threat.

A Coloma High School student was taken into custody on Thursday, Dec. 9, for allegedly making comments about shooting guns in a classroom.

ABC 57 News reports the junior did not have a weapon on him when he was taken into custody.

Threats have also been made since last week’s deadly shooting at Oxford High School to schools in St. Joseph, Lakeshore and Watervliet.
