45-year-old Andrew Perkins is currently being charged with impersonating a public servant after police say he claimed to be looking for man wanted on child sex crimes.

According to The Elkhart Truth, police were received a 9-1-1 call for a report of suspicious person who was allegedly at the home impersonating an officer.

The caller said the man claimed to be a “Federal Agent” from Ohio looking for a suspect in a sexual assault. Then showed a fake badge while carrying a handgun.

Court documents alleged that Perkins was doing this to get back into a relationship with the woman that was with the “wanted man” by attempting to get him in trouble and to even damage business prospects.

Perkins expressed remorse when questioned by police, but claims he never said he was with the F-B-I.

Perkins was booked into the Elkhart County Jail on $3-thousand dollars bond.

This is probably more common than you think and likely too light of a sentence. If he’s got a gun, chances are this will just go a step further later on…

Im imaging the other guy might be gearing up to deal with this, if not he’s a sitting duck.
