46-year-old Robert William Russell, the second, of Edwardsburg pleaded guilty to three charges that include possession of meth, attempted resisting and obstructing police, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

According to Leader Publications, The meth and resisting charges stem back from an incident that occurred on August 29 of 2020, when police stopped Russell’s car near Five Points in Edwardsburg.

While the assault incidents happened on July 22 and August 18 of 2020 at a home on South Metcalf, there Russell pointed and shot a gun at others.

Last Friday, a judge in Cass County sentenced Russell to three concurrent terms of 365 days in jail, and must pay $32-hundred dollars.

Russell was out on bound at the time and ordered to report to the Cass County Jail later that day.
