With what they call a rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, LaPorte County health leaders are strongly recommending, but not mandating, that masks be worn indoors in public places, regardless of vaccination status.
The county has reportedly logged 500 new cases of COVID-19 per week this month.
Their recommendations for both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals include:
- All those who are medically able to do so should wear a face mask in public indoor settings when near others, regardless of vaccination status
- The use of face masks is recommended for all teachers, staff, students and visitors to schools, regardless of vaccination status
- Get tested if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
- Everyone with a known contact to someone with confirmed COVID-19 disease should get tested 3-5 days following exposure
- Isolate if you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the prior 10 days or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
- Get vaccinated and boosted
- Wash your hands often and use sanitizer

SO……283 divided by 18740 (reported cases)…is 1.5% OR 98.5% SURVIVAL RATE……Makes sense to shutdown the county???????? Especially when it is people who have CHOSEN not to be Vaxed…….
