Dowagiac man hospitalized after crashing into semi on M-62

(95.3 MNC)

Icy road conditions may have factored into a crash between a car and a semi.

The collision happened around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5, on M-62 near Kingsbury Street in Cass County’s LaGrange Township.

The investigation shows that a car, driven by a 38-year-old Dowagiac man was northbound when the driver lost control, crossed the center line and struck a semi-trailer, being driven by a 68-year-old Wakarusa man.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital. The semi driver wasn’t hurt.

Both were wearing seat belts and alcohol/drugs were not a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
